Most clients begin with approximately 6–10 sessions, but some may need more. Hair density, treatment area, hormones, hair cycle, skin and individual response all affect the number of treatments and maintenance needed.

Body areas are commonly scheduled about every 6 weeks, while facial areas are often treated about every 4 weeks. Your technician may adjust timing based on your growth cycle and response.

Yes. Arrive freshly shaved unless your technician has instructed you otherwise. Shaving keeps the hair follicle intact beneath the skin while removing excess hair above the surface.

No. Waxing and tweezing remove hair from the follicle, which interferes with the laser target. Shaving between sessions is generally the preferred method.

Soprano SHR technology is designed for a wide range of skin tones, including tanned skin, but recent sun exposure still matters. Do not come in sunburned, and follow your technician’s pre-treatment instructions. Avoid spray tans before treatment because they can interfere with skin assessment and treatment.

Many clients notice treated hairs beginning to shed roughly 1–2 weeks after treatment. Shedding and regrowth patterns vary by area and person.

Soprano systems are designed around gradual heating and continuous cooling. Sensation varies by person and area, but many clients describe warmth or tingling rather than the sharp snapping associated with some traditional laser systems.

Alma’s SHR technology is designed for a broad range of skin tones. A trained provider should assess the client and select appropriate settings for the skin, hair and treatment area.

No. Laser hair removal should not be performed directly over tattoos. The provider will work around tattooed areas.

Laser hair removal relies on pigment in the hair as a target, so gray/white hair generally does not respond effectively.

A bikini treatment addresses hair along the bikini line and does not include the labia or perianal area. A Brazilian includes the bikini line, labia and perianal area, with the option to leave a preferred amount of hair in front.

Yes. Soft Touch offers laser hair removal for men, including face, neck, ears, arms, underarms, chest, stomach, back, legs, buttocks, Brazilian and full body.

For comfort and safety, a companion must be present during the treatment or two Soft Touch technicians will be in the treatment room.
